Cape Coast Slave Castle

This visit was a sobering reminder of the incredible human atrocities committed against the peoples of Africa by multiple European nations as well as by our own nation over the course of about three centuries.  It will not be an easy visit for many of us, but I think an important one and one for which
we must prepare something by way of a musical remembrance.  For now, just a few photos by way of preview.
Elmina Slave Castle

The Door of no return, through which captives were sent to the slave ships.

Brother Sparhawk and our wonderful driver, Jeff, on the beach near the castle.

Fishing boats heading out for the night's catch.

Fishing boats on the shore.  Slogans such as the one painted on the boat are everywhere in Ghana--on cars, shops, everything!!
